đ« Because Apparently I Needed More Chaos in My Life
A tale of bank fees, Kickstarter quirks, and why thereâs now a new campaign page!
Turns out âindie comicsâ also means âbegrudgingly self-appointed financial manager.â Hereâs why Sacrimony #9 had to move homes.
Hi there!
If youâve been following the Sacrimony #9 prelaunch campaign on Kickstarter, Iâve got a bit of important (but manageable!) news.
Long story short â that campaign page wonât be the one that actually launches in January 2026. Kickstarter doesnât allow creators to change certain financial details, like banking information, once a campaign is created. And since I had to close my old business account (because keeping it open came with monthly fees I couldnât justify paying anymore), that meant I needed to start completely fresh with a new campaign page tied to my current account.
So, even though itâs a bit of a hassle, I had to make a brand-new campaign and prelaunch page. The good news is that everything else about Sacrimony #9 (the story, the art, the chaos) is still on track for a January 2026 launch.
If youâre following the original campaign, please make sure to follow the new one instead so youâll still get notified when it goes live!
Kickstarter doesnât automatically transfer followers between campaigns (which wouldâve made this so much easier, but alasâŠ), so please make sure to click that âNotify Meâ button on the new page.
Iâm really grateful for everyone whoâs supported Sacrimony so far â whether youâve been here since the beginning or just found it recently. Youâve all helped me publish eight issues of this series, and I canât wait for you to see whatâs coming in #9.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and for sticking with me through every weird little hurdle the indie comics life throws my way. đ
Stay amazing,
-M
