💫 Because Apparently I Needed More Chaos in My Life

A tale of bank fees, Kickstarter quirks, and why there’s now a new campaign page!

Turns out “indie comics” also means “begrudgingly self-appointed financial manager.” Here’s why Sacrimony #9 had to move homes.

Hi there!

If you’ve been following the Sacrimony #9 prelaunch campaign on Kickstarter, I’ve got a bit of important (but manageable!) news.

Long story short — that campaign page won’t be the one that actually launches in January 2026. Kickstarter doesn’t allow creators to change certain financial details, like banking information, once a campaign is created. And since I had to close my old business account (because keeping it open came with monthly fees I couldn’t justify paying anymore), that meant I needed to start completely fresh with a new campaign page tied to my current account.

So, even though it’s a bit of a hassle, I had to make a brand-new campaign and prelaunch page. The good news is that everything else about Sacrimony #9 (the story, the art, the chaos) is still on track for a January 2026 launch.

If you’re following the original campaign, please make sure to follow the new one instead so you’ll still get notified when it goes live!

Kickstarter doesn’t automatically transfer followers between campaigns (which would’ve made this so much easier, but alas…), so please make sure to click that “Notify Me” button on the new page.

I’m really grateful for everyone who’s supported Sacrimony so far — whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just found it recently. You’ve all helped me publish eight issues of this series, and I can’t wait for you to see what’s coming in #9.
